Well, Charlie really knows his stuff when it comes to a restored 20 year old Jaguar S-type V-6. He knew how to reset a replaced throttle body on this car, which few mechanics today know. That's rare enough. Finding a new OEM fuel tank sending unit and float (the new unit opposite the other sending unit and float by the fuel pump), was a find.) He replaced it, as the mechanic I'd hired previously (another outfit) replaced the sending unit by the fuel pump but he couldn't find the one Charlie found and replaced. It was shorting out - one moment the gauge read nearly full and the next moment it would drop to zero and a few minutes later back to almost full. This was a problem. Thanks Charlie - owner of L & M mechanics. I'll be bringing the jaguar back to him after I receive the new splash guard from England - being sent to US. Onward and upward with kind respectful regards, R. Scott Rochek (AKA - R. Scott Lemriel - official copyright author pseudonym)
